Description

A 20 year old Macallan whisky. Bottled by Signatory Vintage as part of their Cask Strength Collection series. Distilled on 06.11.1984, it was then aged in a Sherry Butt cask, number 7099, before being bottled on 04.08.2005. A run of just 515 bottles, this is bottle number 153.

Colour: Amber.

Nose:
A little closed, a kind of leafy sherry, not very aromatic despite some nice whiffs of oranges and cloves. With water: more oranges, marmalade, maybe plums, and a few strawberries that come unexpected. Some tobacco too. A fine nose.

Taste:
Good oranges and kumquats, ginger, cinchona, leather… Some kind of wood polish too, tonic water. Still a nice whisky, though. With water: good once again.

Finish:
Of medium length, quite clean, leafy, with oranges and a drop of seawater.

As with all our older bottles, there may be some slight damage to the labels / box.  Please see the pictures.
