Description

A 37 year old Bunnahabhain whisky. Bottled at cask strength by Douglas Laing as part of their Platinum Selection series. Distilled in May 1974, it was then aged in a Sherry cask before being bottled in November 2011. A run of just 108 bottles, this is bottle number 29.

Colour: Deep amber

Nose:
Rum & raisin, stringent green apple hut, maple syrup, glue, dark coffee beans. This is really delicious.

Taste:
Dry and pungent sherry, strong. Then gets a bit sweeter. The sherry (with dark chocolate, raisins, dry dates and figs, liquer infused cherries, dark coffee and tiny earthy notes) is very strong, yet not woody nor too overpowering.

Finish:
Mocha, barley sugary malt. Longish.

As with all our older bottles, there may be some slight damage to the labels / box.  Please see the pictures.
